Established in 1959, our family run business specialises in supplying top-quality flavour and fragrance ingredients to a global clientele.

An opportunity has now arisen for an individual to join our company in the role of Technical Analyst.

We are looking to recruit a Technical Analyst to overview and manage the day-to-day customers technical queries and to carry out routine analysis on essential oils and aroma chemicals.

The company imports and exports raw materials world-wide, primarily for the food industry, with processing facilities both here in the UK and in Shanghai.

We are looking to expand our Technical team in Poole and offer the opportunity to an ambitious and committed individual to help in the development and expansion of our range of materials to support our penetration into new markets. Previous experience is not required as training will be given on site, but Quality Control knowledge will be an advantage.

Duties

o Carry out QC testing of all incoming raw materials, outgoing finished products and other samples.

o Create and send certificates of analysis for all orders despatched to customers.

o Send products for external analysis like C14 and pesticides and analyse results.

o Prepare and send samples to customers with relevant documentation.

o Assist with queries related to QC testing -Purchasing department.

o General upkeep and cleaning of the laboratory environment and its systems.

o Gain understanding of regulatory compliance for all DMA products in all markets supplied.

o Working on and reporting on technical projects/feasibility studies and R&D.

o Provide coverage for the other Technical Analyst during any periods of absence.

Key Requirements

o Experience of Quality Control is desired but not essential

o Strong communicator.

o Be able to work well towards deadlines and under pressure.

o Enthusiastic, responsible and willing to learn new skills.

o Proficient oral and written communication skills

o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Hours of work are: Monday - Thursday - 0830 -1700 with a 1600 finish on a Friday.
