Rewards and Benefits
About the Team
At Surrey, our vision is to help create better lives, a better place, and a county where no-one is left behind. We know that delivering this vision starts with how we manage our data and so we're on a mission to revolutionise our approach to data governance and management.
Our ambition is to become a truly data enabled organisation; using data to underpin policy, decisions and actions in our effort to improve services and outcomes for residents, businesses and the county. Achieving this bold ambition will demand a focus on people, culture, and governance, as well as data and technology.
This is an exciting role for a proactive and innovative Technical Business Analyst who enjoys applying their skills to variety of tasks.
About the Role
In this role as Technical Business Analyst, you will be involved in tasks ranging from helping to identify opportunities where master data will bring organisational benefit, to investigating data and process issues, and undertaking data discovery work. There will be several projects running in parallel and so you will be comfortable working at pace and efficiently managing your time.
The role will involve engaging with stakeholders from across the organisation and you will build trust and rapport quickly and effectively. You will need to be confident communicating back to the data team and out to the wider stakeholders about what you have discovered.
The data team works closely with colleagues across IT and Digital and so there are lots of opportunities for joint activities to build your skill set and experience. However, this is a hands-on role where you will be expected to perform all project activities (business process and technical) yourself with help and supervision of the Data Governance Analyst and Data Governance Manager.
