Shorterm is currently looking to recruit a Technical Clerk on behalf of their client who is a specialist electrical & instrumentation services contractors providing engineering, construction, commissioning and maintenance services.This role is a long term contract role which may require some travel.The role of Technical Clerk will include but not be limited to the following tasks associate with small projects being carried out by the company. This position involves a variety of tasks ranging from basic office duties to more complex responsibilities, contributing to the overall success of our Client it's Projects.Key Responsibilities for the job include:Office Administration:Manage weekly time sheets from site for payroll purposesAdhoc assistance to all aspects of running an efficient and productive office.Controlling stationary and office Equipment Liaising with HR Department for onboarding personnel to siteClient communications / phones / correspondenceDocument ControlDeliver a broad range of administrative services including document control Participating in HSEQ Audits for ISO PurposesCompile Test Packs & Handover Documentation with QAQCUpdating and controlling Drawing RegistersMaterial Management / PurchasingObtain supplier quotations, complete material requisitions for purchasingCompile delivery dockets and complete GRNs (Goods received Notes) Manage the purchasing of Equipment / Stationery for officeManage site Plant and Tool Register (Asset Register)Commercial & Cost Control Administration:Recording manhours and compiling records for Commercial teamCompiling all Labour & Materials DataAssisting with data input to site measuresAccurately input, update, and maintain various records, databases, and spreadsheets.Filing Daily and Weekly ReportsKey Competencies:Demonstrate a proactive approach and positive attitudeGood communication and interpersonal skillsGood organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload, flexibility, and drive to finish key activities through to completion.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint).Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectivelyAttention to detail and accuracy in workFamiliarity with office equipment such as printers and copiers.Proven track record as Technical Clerk on previous projects
