8.30-4.30 Monday – Friday, 1 hour lunch

Are you an experienced Controls Engineer looking to make a move away from being on the tools?

Are you good with numbers?

We have a rare opportunity for someone with a good technical understanding of Control Systems to join our client on a full time, permanent basis as their Technical Estimator, preparing quotations for various sized jobs.

This role is ideal for an ex-Controls Engineer with experience with generator automation commissioning and good knowledge of deep-sea generator controls and SCADA systems, looking to come off the tools.

Duties include:

• Using technical expertise to generate accurate quotations
• Using Excel daily to generate pricing
• Working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing and lead times
• Reviewing technical drawings
• Visiting customer sites to ensure full understanding of the site  
• Document management
• Following up quotes and tenders
• Organising training

The successful candidate will have / be:

• Strong technical understanding of control systems and schematics
• Allen Bradley PLC and SCADA knowledge
• ComAp, deep-sea generator knowledge
• Electrical installation/automation controls
• A desire to work within Estimating
