Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to make an impact in a dynamic and industrial environment?
As part of the Electrical Engineering team, you will direct and control engineering craft and contractors to support the manufacturing site, performing preventive maintenance and inspections while providing critical expertise in resolving faults quickly to ensure manufacturing continuity and high standards of quality.
Experience in the following areas would be of beneficial:
- Knowledge and experience of electrical safety and safe systems of work
- AC and DC motors
- PLCs and SCADA systems
- Digital drives and motor control
- Systematic problem solving approach and the ability to read electrical drawings
- SAP knowledge and basic Microsoft IT skills
What you will do
In this role, you will:
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and company policies.
- Support manufacturing performance by conducting preventive maintenance and diagnosing and repairing faults in complex systems.
- Manage and allocate resources for planned maintenance schedules and ensure that contractor labour is organised effectively to meet maintenance objectives.
- Monitor engineering and contract work quality and cost efficiency, ensuring projects remain within budget.
- Develop your expertise in maintenance techniques, stay up to date with the latest equipment developments, and share knowledge with specialists and teams.
- Issue certificates of isolation as part of safe systems of work and ensure that changes to processes are risk assessed.
- Provide engineering expertise to identify opportunities for improvements in plant performance and safety.
What you will need
The Technical Maintenance Engineer should have a sound practical knowledge of Electrical Engineering, ideally with several years of relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. You should be qualified to HNC level or have equivalent experience.
You must also have strong supervisory skills to ensure the safe and efficient execution of engineering repair work. Strong communication skills and the ability to stick to tight deadlines are essential.
