Technical Engineer (Electronic Design) - Evoke Staffing Ltd : Job Details

We are looking for a Technical Engineer (Electronic Design) to start a permanent contract with our client to start almost immediately.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product Design, Production Engineering, Product

Management, Purchasing, and Marketing) to define and refine product requirements and

2. Partner with Product Designers to develop innovative sustainable LED lighting solutions.

3. Design, test, and validate LED solutions, ensuring compliance with the latest British,

European, and international safety standards.

4. Drive innovation in LED Lighting Controls, LED Control Gear, and associated electronics.

5. Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

6. Utilise CAD software to create detailed schematics and PCB layouts.

7. Manage the life cycle of LED lighting solutions, from concept to production.

8. Conduct thorough testing and analysis of electronic prototypes, identifying and resolving

issues to ensure optimal performance.

9. Collaborate with production teams (SMT Line) to ensure LED lighting solutions are

designed for manufacture and provide technical support when required.

10. Support continuous improvement initiatives for design processes and procedures to

maintain ISO9001 Quality Management System standards.

11. Promote and maintain the ISO45001 Health and Safety policy through safe

working practices and procedures.

A HND or degree with an electronic bias. Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of electronic design. Create and modify complex PCB layouts using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Ability to write technical specifications. Understand technical datasheets and use the information to support the design of LED lighting solutions. Ability to identify and resolve issues in electronic systems through systematic troubleshooting techniques. Ability to manage projects effectively. Experience in working in the Lighting industry Experience in design LED light engines Ability to use CADStar PCB design software
