Technical Lead - Golang

Our client, a leading supplier to the gaming (gambling) industry, are looking to recruit a Technical Lead on a permanent basis. The Technical Lead will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of engineers and driving the development lifecycle using technologies like Go, Apache Kafka, and Kubernetes.

The role is a remote role with a global team made up of passionate technologists.

Responsibilities will include:

• Design and develop software solutions based on stakeholder needs.
• Act as a key contact and escalation point for senior clients.
• Lead and guide a team of 5-15 engineers and project managers.
• Translate business needs into technical plans and manage Jira backlogs.
• Create and maintain development architecture and documentation.

Required skills and experience:

• Strong experience in Go (Golang).
• Proficient in using open-source databases, e.g. Postgres.
• Experience of Cloud-based infrastructure utilising containerisation and modern development practices, e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of JS-based front-ends, e.g. React, Vue etc.

Desirable:

• iGaming industry experience.
• Experience with event-driven architectures
