We have a new role just in, for a Technical Manager for a technical textile business based in Greater Manchester.
You’ll take the lead in managing product and process development activities to company R&D / marketing objectives. You’ll coordinate laboratory testing resources in compliance with ISO 9001:2000, CE Marking etc

About the job
- You’ll advise customers on choice of fabrics, specification enquiries and properties.
- Coordinate non-conformances/complaints, corrective action and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations. Coordinate testing and trials of new products.
- Assist with analyses, specifications and test methods.
- Assist in the development of all employees in relation to quality management systems / standards and customer requirement.
- Working with customers to develop new products and processes.
- Issuing experimental / temporary manufacturing instructions and record all trials.
- Review and prepare capital expenditure proposals for new equipment and improvements to manufacturing facilities.
- Ensure best value on raw materials.
- You’ll be involved in annual audits conducted by 3rd party organisations.
