Role Overview:
What you will be doing as a Technical Manager
- Provide expert advice and support to audit and accounting teams on complex technical queries.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
- Develop and review technical accounting papers and audit methodologies.
- Deliver technical training to internal teams, enhancing technical knowledge firm-wide.
- Liaise with clients on technical matters and complex accounting issues.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest accounting and auditing standards, providing insights to the team on new developments.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in audit or technical accounting, ideally within a professional services firm.
- Excellent knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to simplify complex issues for non-technical colleagues and clients.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude and a keen eye for detail.
