Client Details

Our client, a rapidly growing food manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the transition from SALSA to BRC certification and drive technical leadership within the department. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will oversee a lean team and drive food safety.

Description

• Be the Technical spearhead for the department, overseeing quality, food safety and compliance.
• Experience in maintaining SALSA accreditation & experience implementing BRC
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including product specifications, allergen controls, and labeling.
• Management experience
• Experience working in a lean environment
• Experience with internal/ external auditing

Profile

• Demonstrated experience in a technical or quality management role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing a team.
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP, SALSA/BRC standards, and UK/EU food safety regulations.
• Hands-on experience in leading BRC accreditation.
• A solid understanding of fermentation and microbial processes is highly advantageous.
• Passion for NPD and food innovation.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
