Our client, a rapidly growing food manufacturer, is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the transition from SALSA to BRC certification and drive technical leadership within the department. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will oversee a lean team and drive food safety.
Description
- Be the Technical spearhead for the department, overseeing quality, food safety and compliance.
- Experience in maintaining SALSA accreditation & experience implementing BRC
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including product specifications, allergen controls, and labeling.
- Management experience
- Experience working in a lean environment
- Experience with internal/ external auditing
Profile
- Demonstrated experience in a technical or quality management role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of successfully managing a team.
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP, SALSA/BRC standards, and UK/EU food safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience in leading BRC accreditation.
- A solid understanding of fermentation and microbial processes is highly advantageous.
- Passion for NPD and food innovation.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
