Our Client is a fast growing distributor of speciality raw materials to the UK Polymer Industry.
They are now seeking a Technical Sales Manager - Polymers. This position will be home based and location within the UK is flexible. The geographical territory is the UK and Ireland. This position is a full-time permanent role and will report to the Business Manager
Job Purpose
- Maintain and grow a profitable and sustainable Business Unit with associated sales
- Develop long term business relationships with Key Customers
- Create unique and compelling sales propositions
- Develop Supplier relationships to ensure a long-term positive contribution
- Customer acquisition
Key Responsibilities
Customer Sales
- Develop Key Accounts
- Flawlessly execute Sales & Marketing activities
- Develop key markets: Rubber / Plastics / Sealants
Supplier Management
- Communicate effectively with supplier partners (reports, sales figures, market information, product development)
- Gather market intelligence
- Ensuring robust supply chain (forecast, stock)
- Cultivate new supplier relationships
Qualifications and Experience
- Technical education to BSc or equivalent industrial experience
- Commercially astute, technical salesperson with tribal knowledge of the speciality raw materials and formulations for the Rubber, Plastics and Sealant manufacturing sectors in the UK market
- Able to develop Customer product formulations
- Business acumen to attract and develop new supplier partners
- Excellent communicator at all levels
- A team player with a growth mindset and the drive to succeed.
- Actively engaged with Industry organisations
- Determination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm, loyalty
In return, our Client is offering a basic salary of £45,000 - £50,000 per annum, (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience), plus benefits which include an expensed company car, five weeks holiday, pension, healthcare and a bonus scheme.
