I am looking for an experienced Customer Service & Telesales Agent to join a reputable client of mine, who are international dangerous goods specialists. This is an office-based position in Hounslow, close to Heathrow Airport and the successful candidate will be working from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday with a 1-hour lunch break. The Customer Service & Telesales Agent will report into the Operations Manager and will be joining a small but friendly (and hard-working) team of dangerous goods air freight specialists.
Main duties:
- Daily interaction with customers via phone and email
- Ensuring that customers are happy with the service provided by the company.
- Researching and contacting new customers to gain new business.
- Working closely with the Operations Manager and completing weekly reports.
- Occasionally attending face-to-face meetings with both new and existing customers.
- Following up on warm and cold leads, making multiple sales calls per day.
- Working towards daily targets/KPI's.
Key requirements:
- Dangerous goods knowledge/experience - desirable
- Strong customer service skills (ideally within the freight sector)
- Telesales or other office-based sales experience - essential
- Must be comfortable selling to customer over the phone on a daily basis and also travelling to meet with national customers
- Driving license is essential
- Computer literacy: Sequoia or other freight system, MS Word, MS Excel, Gmail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Salary & package:
- Salary of £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
- Potential to earn commission through various methods
