Temporary Assistant Accountant - Môrwell Talent Solutions : Job Details

Môrwell Talent Solutions is excited to present an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled temporary Assistant Accountant to join our client's Business Services company based in Bridgend. This role offers flexibility with the option for remote working. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance department, contributing to key financial processes and ensuring smooth operations. Your expertise in accounting functions will be crucial as you will assist in various tasks including reconciliations, transaction processing (AP & AR) and assisting with month end.

The temporary assignment will be for 4 months, providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen your career in accounting while adding value to the team. My client is happy to consider applications from candidates that are seeking either Part-Time or Full-time employment. The successful candidate must be able to start work ideally ASAP and be committed to the duration of the assignment. 

• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or equivalent role
• AAT qualification or ACCA/CIMA early stages studier 
• Background in Financial Services and dealing with foreign currencies would be highly advantageous 
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations and transactional processes (AP & AR) 
• Assisting the Financial Controller with month end processes to include, journal entry, accruals and prepayments
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Effective communication skills
• Intermediate Excel skills are essential as there will be a heavy emphasis on spreadsheet work 

By joining our client’s team, you will benefit from a competitive hourly rate ranging from £14.36 - £16.41 per hour, plus holiday pay. My client is seeking an individual that can come in and hit the ground running however, is prepared to offer initial training and support. The role will be 2 days office based (Tuesday and Wednesday) and the other 3 days remote working. Full-time office hours are Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, 1 hour lunch break. Please note, our client will also consider applications from candidates that are seeking part-time hours.
