JHE and Partners are delighted to be working with a growing business in Halifax who are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Senior Credit Controller on a temporary basis with immediate start! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments are received.
- Prepare and send out invoices, statements, and reminders for overdue accounts.
- Liaise with customers to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications with customers regarding their accounts.
- Conduct credit checks on new customers to assess risk levels.
- Collaborate with the sales team to manage customer credit limits effectively.
- Generate reports on aged debtors and present findings to management.
- Assist in the reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role is essential.
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Strong understanding of financial principles and practices related to credit management.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients
