Are you an immediately available Accountant with strong IFRS and Consolidations experience? Our client is looking for a Group Reporting Accountant on an interim basis for a period of 4-5 months.
Responsibilities:
Deliver the Group's full-year statutory results, including key financial statements and disclosure notes.
Oversee and manage the external audit timeline and deliverables, ensuring key activities are planned throughout the year and working closely with local businesses to optimize the audit process.
Assist the Group Senior Reporting Manager in coordinating audit needs across the organization, with particular focus on UK sites and regional financial controllers.
Prepare accounting memos on significant matters for auditors.
Support the Group Senior Reporting Manager and Group Financial Controller in compiling the Annual Report and briefing documents for the CFO, CEO, and Board.
Oversee the preparation of annual statutory accounts for all UK subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with deadlines, including those required for bank covenant submissions.
Manage the audit process for subsidiary accounts, liaising directly with auditors, and handling timelines and any emerging issues.
Manage the Group’s IFRS16 lease reporting, ensuring accurate balance sheet and profit and loss impacts.
Act as the main point of contact for the Group’s consolidation and management reporting tool; maintain group structure, reports, forms, and data, and provide best practice guidance to local businesses.
Review new accounting standards and lead their implementation across the Group. Communicate with senior stakeholders about the impact and timeline for adoption.
Requirements:
ACA/ACCA Qualified from practice with post qualified experience in industry
Working knowledge of IFRS and Consolidations
Strong overall technical accounting knowledge
