Job Overview:We are seeking a Tendering Engineer to join our team and manage the tendering process for major electrical projects, including DNO contestable works (11-33kV), renewable energy balance of plant works, and 66kV-132kV projects. The role involves ensuring tenders are delivered to budget, time, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tendering for multiple and major projects, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and safety regulations.
- Oversee costing, quotations, and ensure compliance with legislation (HASAWA, NRSWA, C.O.S.H.H.).
- Identify commercial opportunities and report to senior management.
- Produce front-end programmes for certain tenders using project management tools.
- Conduct final reviews of delivered projects to assess financial and delivery performance.
- Collaborate with the Major Projects team to ensure safe and efficient project implementation.
- Foster relationships with clients and external stakeholders, attending site surveys as required.
- Ensure high-quality standards in all work and identify areas for process improvement.
- Submit tenders on time and in line with agreed deadlines.
Key Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in an electrical-related subject (HNC, HND).
- At least 3 years of experience in ICP or Major Projects at 33kV.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and CAD for site layout design.
- Experience in a commercial, multi-divisional organization.
- Strong understanding of HV electrical projects, statutory requirements, and health and safety practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
