The Role
An excellent opportunity for someone with Chef/Culinary/Front of House Catering skills who is looking to move into sales, or for someone in sales of Foodservice related products who is keen to move into the Foodservice Equipment channel:
- Drive sales and sales growth across the region by working with a portfolio of customers -hotels, restaurants, caterers and equipment distributors.
- Visit end user customers on-site and demonstrate the equipment to them, showcasing how the products can deliver value to their operation and enhance their menus.
- Work closely with resellers (distributors) to deliver product training, ensure they have all the information they need to promote the brands to their customers and are aware of any promotions, new products and key information.
- Attend trade shows and exhibitions to engage with customers, promote and demonstrate the equipment.
- Devise and implement the sales strategy on your region to ensure that all opportunities are maximized, every sales call achieves a goal and that you have a medium-long term plan to achieve continued growth.
- Maintain accurate records on the company CRM system and liaise with colleagues in product development and marketing to pass on feedback from customers.
- Keep up-to-date with the foodservice industry trends and track new openings on your region.
The person
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
- Experience in catering, preferably as a Chef. Exposure to sales is beneficial but not essential.
- Skills in leadership, problem solving and teamwork.
- Ability to work flexibly and take an open-minded approach.
- Independently schedule your own work with a focus on achieving objectives.
- Strong territory planning with the ability to schedule activities into weeks, breaking the territory down into quadrants and maintain regular client contact.
- Understanding of the customer landscape within your territory.
- Flexibility to travel 80-85% of the time within your assigned territory. There may be overnight stays.
- Experience working with combi ovens is a plus.
- Experience working with CRM systems is beneficial.
