Test Manager - Salesforce - Warwick

Test Manager / QA Manager with a strong hand on software testing experience, particularly around Salesforce and ERP systems is required by a global manufacturing company.

A unique and exciting opportunity to join a brand new team as a Software Test Lead you will be responsible for setting up a Salesforce testing function from scratch, helping shape the future of how they operate in the digital space. This position reports to the Head of Testing and will give you the opportunity to influence and lead testing strategies across their commercial systems.

Experience Required:

• Proven experience setting up or enhancing Salesforce testing functions, as a Test Manager / Test Lead / Senior Tester
• Strong background in functional testing, with a focus on manual testing (automation experience is a plus).
• Ability to manage and lead testers from external partners (including offshore teams) while being hands-on with testing yourself.
• Extensive experience in testing commercial applications, including Salesforce and external integrations.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, covering functional, regression, integration, and UAT.
• Proficient in defect management: tracking, reporting, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues.
• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project managers.
• Proficient with testing tools like DevOps, Jira, and other test management platforms.
• Testing experience in digital transformation projects.

This Test Manager role focuses on building a Salesforce-based testing function from the ground up. You will be tasked with ensuring seamless integration with other systems, including ERP platforms, and supporting manual testing efforts, with the potential to introduce automation testing ideas in the future.

As the Test Lead you will:

• Establish and lead the testing function for Salesforce, from the ground up.
• Collaborate with external partners (offshore companies such as Cognizant) and manage project testers.
• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for commercial applications to ensure quality, functionality, and performance.
• Work hands-on with the testing team while also driving strategic initiatives to ensure high-quality software integrations.
• Define and coordinate UAT with business stakeholders to secure approval before product release.
• Oversee the testing of Salesforce applications and their integration with other systems (e.g., ERP).
• Build and grow the testing team as the function expands and potentially bring testers in-house in the future.
• Champion manual testing efforts while contributing automation ideas to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
