Textile Technical Officer - Brigg Scientific Recruitment Limited : Job Details

This Brigg Scientific client are Certification company specialising in the certification and testing of Textiles from across the materials sector. They are looking to recruit a Textile Technical Officer to support their team at their Manchester operations in Trafford Park.

This role sits between the clients who are requesting the testing and the Laboratories on site that deliver the testing.

So key duties include

• Understanding the technical aspects of textile testing
• Compiling client reports based on laboratory test results
• Liaising between client and Laboratory of technical issues
• Quoting for testing
• Supporting clients when products fail testing and advising on next steps.

Successful candidates will have a good knowledge of textile fabrication and finishing. This could come from a Textile or Chemistry angle. Knowledge of Textile certification testing would be a distinct advantage. Excellent customer service skills are a given for this role which requires communication with clients around the globe.

Salary will range form £26,000 - £28,000 and the role is offered on a Permanent basis.

Hours are 9-5 Monday to Friday with a flexy time system in operation. Once an initial training period of 12 months is completed, there may be options for remote working.
