Temp to perm roleFavourable day shiftsClean, modern facilitiesWe are actively searching for a skilled Fabricator Welder with specific experience with aluminium TIG welding. You will be working for a small, but warm & welcoming team in the fabrication unit of a leading plastics manufacturer. Due to the size of the team, all applicants must be multi-skilled, with experience across a range of CNC / brake press machinery.Essential Experience for our Welder position: - TIG welding (ideally with additional experience in MIG & Arc welding) - Experience with handling thin-to-medium gauge aluminium - CNC or manual machining experience - Break Press, rolling mills & guillotine - Sheet Metal Work - Machine MaintenanceNon-essential skills include Forklift Driving and other types of welding - however these would prove advantageous if you hold them as part of your background Main responsibilities of our TIG Fabricator role include:- Fabrication / Welding specialist components for frames, manifold tables and adapter tapes- Quality control. Sign off jobs leaving the site as to standards required.- Prepare cutting lists for other department- Finish cut material before ready for welding (Deburring/ finishing)- Marking up components- Preparing bolt lists- Notify Fabrication Supervisor of any errors on the drawing.- Continuous Improvements. Offer advice on any process or machine improvements to improve efficiency and job costs wherever possible.Necessary attributes:-Strong team player-Adaptable-3 years proven experience in a fabrication environmentHours of work:Monday – Thursday 7.00 am – 15.30 pm.Friday 7.00 am – 14.30 pmRate of pay:£15.00 per hour - starting rate£15.50 per hour - training rate (applicable after 3 months)£16.00 per hour - applicable once fully skilled on plasma / press equipmentIf you are interested in applying for our Fabricator Welder role, please click apply for more information.
