Meraki Talent are delighted to be supporting an international investment bank who are seeking a talented and motivated Trade and Finance Lawyer. This role will be to support Trade & Working Capital business across the bank. In this role, you will focus on trade finance, providing expert legal advice and managing legal risks related to a wide range of transactions and strategic projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice to international Trade & Working Capital teams with a focus on trade finance transactions.
- Advise on various trade and working capital products, including trade loans, export credit agency-backed financings, letters of credit discounting, and ESG products.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documentation to the highest standard.
- Support the implementation of regulatory changes and strategic projects.
I’m Looking For:
- English law qualified Solicitor with expertise in banking/finance law.
- Proven track record in structured transactions and cross-border deals.
- Strong technical legal skills with the ability to draft and negotiate complex documentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage projects and competing priorities.
Highly Valued Skills:
- Expertise in trade finance products, including bonds, guarantees, and export credit agency-backed financings.
- Experience in a financial institution’s in-house legal team is advantageous.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to think strategically and solve problems.
