Job Description:Job Title Direct Support Trade Floor (Junior Engineer) - Investment Bank Location London Corporate Title Associate/ Assistant Vice President You will join a highly motivated and technically proficient team dedicated to providing top-tier desktop support to front office users across various businesses, including Foreign Exchange (FX), Debt, Emerging Markets, and Corporate Finance. You will assist in supporting all front office technology and projects and help maintain our on-premises remote racked-based computer solutions and the Disaster Recovery site. Your key responsibilities
  • Provide consistent customer service for all support queries and adhere to service management principles in an ITIL-based environment
  • Gain a fundamental understanding of remote technologies, including a mix of virtual and physical endpoints
  • Support the technical leadership of the team by assisting in the development and mentoring of junior talent
  • Help prioritise and execute service requests, ensuring assignments are scheduled and completed in a timely manner; assist with upgrades and deployment of new products, both software and hardware
  • Contribute to ticket analysis to identify common issues and trends and support the recommendation of corrective actions to eradicate underlying root causes
  • Collaborate with Desktop and Windows engineering, Information Technology (IT) service management, and other teams to support the design and implementation of remedial plans
Your skills and experience
  • Eagerness to learn trade floor desktop support and managing high-impact incidents
  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10/ Microsoft Office 365 suite of products, particularly Excel and Outlook, as well as plugins
  • Familiarity with Market Data/Trading/Execution platforms is a plus
  • Strong client-facing skills, comfortable interacting face-to-face or via phone/Skype/email
  • Willingness to manage and support Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) phones, turrets, and mobile devices
