Trading Underwriter - Reed : Job Details

Reed is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Bristol-based client, located just a stone’s throw away from Temple Meads Station. We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Trading Underwriter to join on a full time, permanent basis.

It is key that you are general insurance professional, specifically with experience in Underwriting, highly proficient in Excel, numerically sound and a strong communicator.

Location is perfect for any commuters coming from further-afield for example Cardiff, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Swindon, Exeter.

Hybrid working: 2 days office/3 homeHours: Mon – Fri. 9-5 – 35 hour week

Salary:

Junior - £30k. Mid – Up to £35k. Higher level – Up to £45k

Duties:

• Engage in negotiations and renewals with business partners, providing performance updates and managing insurance risks effectively.
• Identify and address underwriting issues, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure partner satisfaction.
• Analyse data using MS Excel to maintain high-quality output and informed decision-making.
• Manage a variety of projects and tasks, adhering to deadlines and surpassing customer expectations.
• Conduct in-depth underwriting discussions with business partners, showcasing strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Solid underwriting experience with a customer-centric approach.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for robust data analysis.
