Train Control Engineer
Role Overview:
A Control Engineer designs, develops, and implements control systems to manage and optimize engineering processes and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of control theory, system dynamics, and the integration of hardware and software for automated systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- • Perform control engineering activities for one or several functions from architecture to detailed specification, interface and Pure Principle Scheme or Logical Diagram.
- • For its function formulating a Low voltage and SW control design solution that fulfils the specified customer.
- • Deliver Interface Control Document (ICD) for sub system participating in its function.
- • Treatment of Change Request (CR) related to its function.
- • Provide support for Supplier interface test or TC&IS verification tests on PC or TCMS Test Bench.
- • Provide support during train integration, upon request.
- • Provide support during train validation, upon request.
Work Experience
Required Skills (Technical Competency)
- • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- • Rolling stock functional engineer experiences on its functions
- • Experience in electrical and schematic design activity
- • Experience in electrical or electro-mechanical or automation (Programmable Logic Controller) engineering.
- • Hands-on experience in design & development in developing in IEC61131-3 software or using model-based development tools like Matlab / Simulink, Control Build etc
- • Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB and other industrial communication network.
- • Hands-on development experience of one or more software phases like software development, hardware-software integration etc.
- • Experience in developing in IEC61131-3 software or using model-based development tools like Matlab / Simulink, Control Build etc.
- • Familiarity with real-time, distributed controllers and their functioning.
- • Knowledge of validation methods (boundary tests, equivalent class tests…)
- • Knowledge of validation tools (TestStand, model-based testing tools…)
- • Knowledge of validation Means (Testbench, simulators…)
- • Familiar with software development using model-based development tools like Matlab / Simulink, Control Build for Rail domain.

Rate of Pay
€60,000 - €65,000 per annum
