Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Accountant who is looking to gain great financial exposure; this is a fantastic opportunity to work for a successful and growing business based in Coventry.

As the Trainee Accountant, you will be working closely with the Credit Manager, your focus will be on helping to add value to the business and improve current processes as well as providing accurate and timely financial reporting - making this opportunity more commercially-focused than a large majority of entry level roles.

You will contribute to the smooth running of the accounts receivable department, collating large sets of data, managing stakeholders, weekly and monthly reporting whilst working in a fast-paced department that focus on supporting large key clients.

Ideally, you will:

  • Be a recent finance graduate, currently studying AAT or have demonstrable experience in a similar position
  • Possess high level of organisation and accuracy with the initiative to work to tight deadlines and can demonstrate comfort in using accounting systems
  • Have excellent attention to detail, exceptional communication skills and a strong personality (the ability to influence / control internal and external people to maintain work flow and gain required information to meet deadlines is an essential part of the role)
  • Possess strong excel skills allowing for quick and efficient interpretation of complex data sets
