Trainee Accountant

• Annual Salary: £25k - £35k

Reed currently has an exciting opportunity with a unique accountancy practice who specialise in the creative industry. This boutique practice looks after some of the biggest artists in the music industry, dealing with their accounting matters.

The practice is looking for someone who has a strong interest in the creative industry and is looking to build their career alongside this growing practice who are constantly acquiring new artists.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Review and assist in the preparation of VAT returns, sole trader, partnership, LLP, and corporate accounts.
• Review and assist in the preparation of personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Prepare Quarterly Management Reports.
• Work under the direction of senior staff but with a degree of autonomy on regular tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Part-qualified and pursuing ACCA or AAT certification.
• Up to 2 years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proficient in Xero, particularly the management report function.
• Experience with TaxCalc is preferable, though not essential; familiarity with statutory accounts and tax filing software is required.
• Ability to adapt to and learn new software quickly.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Eager to learn and grow within the company, with a particular interest in the creative industries.
