T&K Associates have a really exciting opportunity for a Trainee Fitter to join our Client based in Coalville on a permanent basis.
The job requires hard work, including early mornings and lots of travelling - however it is a brilliant opportunity and the Client offers a fantastic career path for someone with the right attitude with the opportunity of earning circa £50,000 once fully trained!
You will initially start on the training rate and expected training is between 6-12 months, once training is complete your salary will increase and the Company offer some fantastic rewards.
*The Company is currently Coalville based, however will be moving to new premises in Castle Donington early 2025*
Trainee Fitter Job Benefits;
- £22,500 per annum (18-20 years old) & £29,600 per annum (21 years and above)

Trainee Fitter Job Responsibilities;
- Participate in a structured training programme designed to teach the fundamentals of installation and repair
- Work alongside experienced installers to gain practical experience and knowledge in the field
- Attend training sessions on safety procedures, technical skills and Customer service
- Assist in the installation of appliances on new build housing developments
- Learn how to properly connect appliances to utilities (water, gas and electricity) under supervision
- Support the set up and initial testing of appliances to ensure they function correctly
- Interact with Customers and learn how to address basic Customer enquiries and concerns regarding appliance installation and maintenance
- Always adhere to all Health and Safety regulations
- Follow instructions to ensure all installations comply with relevant codes and standards
- Learn the importance maintaining accurate records of work performed
Trainee Fitter Person Specification;
- No prior experience is required as this is a Trainee role however GCSE’s or equivalent is preferred
- A genuine interest in developing a career in appliance installation and repair
- Any technical coursework or hands-on experience in related fields is preferred
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Basic mechanical and technical aptitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently as skills develop
- Valid driver’s license
- CSCS card is desirable, if not then the successful applicant will be required to obtain one which the Company would reimburse you for
- Gas certification is advantageous
- Ability to lift and move heavy appliances
- Comfortable working in various environments, including tight spaces and varying weather conditions
- Capability to stand, crouch and kneel for extended periods
