We transform lives by providing practical, emotional and financial support to those who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation.Family Action is looking to recruit two Trainee Parenting Practitioners for a fantastic opportunity to complete funded training for a Postgraduate Diploma whilst being paid and gaining valuable work experience in therapeutic supportive services for parents and carers with children.This full time programme provides health and social care professionals the opportunity to complete high quality training in the key skills required to be an evidence-based practitioner working in Parenting (PT), completing the CYP Evidence Based Training.Trainees will obtain clinical experience in Incredible Years group delivery and individual home coach training to parents of children under 5. The programme will consist of model specific supervision in Incredible Years and include teaching on PT skills-based workshops, as well as evidence-based theory and literature relating to supporting the emotional wellbeing and mental health of children between the ages of 3 and 10 years old and their parents/carers.On successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded a Post Graduate Diploma, plus eligibility to apply for Individual Evidence Based Parent Practitioner BABCP Provisional Accreditation.Main Requirements:- Two years post-qualification in a core profession as defined by the BABCP (e.g. Health Visitors, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, etc). Please see Core Professions (babcp.com) OR- For candidates with a differing profession e.g. youth workers, support workers, IAG workers etc, a minimum of 4 years’ experience of working with children, young people and families (including parenting work) is required.
