Job Description :
An opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Risk Analyst within the Risk Department in the City of London to assist and support the Electronic Trading Risk Manager with the daily/monthly/yearly business operations, combined with specific Market Risk duties,whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism to succeed in a fast paced environment all working within its core business values and Risk Framework. The main duties of this role will include: * Review client accounts and distribute margin calls & account summary's to clients/desks * Prepare, review and distribute daily Risk reports to Senior Management * Ensure optimal delivery of daily risk reports * Real-time risk monitoring of clients P&L to facilitate intraday margin calls * Maintenance of the intraday monitoring system contract specification and sector mappings * Analysis of intraday margin calls from exchanges * Assess client electronic trading platform limits/leverages against account values * Running daily and monthly reporting/tasks * Ensure trading platforms are complete with regards to product mappings and positions feeds * Verification of client payments and adjust electronic platforms accordingly * Assess financial impact of Position Transfers on client accounts * Escalation of issues to Department Managers * Maintain departmental procedures and improve Risk processes where applicable * Work on ad hoc projects * Maintain databases as required * Adhere to Risk Management Framework * Assist with preparation and presenting of the weekly Market Risk meeting to senior management * Performing stress tests on client portfolios * Engage with front/back office, clients and exchanges * Participate in a shift pattern to ensure effective cover of risk function Follow us on Join our team at the London Location as Trainee Risk Analyst Your Profile - Permanent The successful candidate will possess the following: * High standard level of education with good qualifications * Knowledge and understanding of major derivatives instruments, FX, Equities and commodity sectors * Microsoft Excel - advanced preferable * SQL, Python and VBA experience preferable but not essential * Ability to work under pressure * Attention to detail * Problem solver/Decision maker * Team player * Reliable Morgan McKinley is acting as an Employment Agency and references to pay rates are indicative.
