The Training and Engagement Officer to serves as the primary point of contact for referrals from DWP and referral partners. This role involves working closely with the Head of Business Development to identify and coordinate suitable training provisions for ASF, DL, Community Learning, and other related projects. The ideal candidate will be proactive in managing referrals and ensuring the right support is provided to meet diverse learner needs.

Responsibilities

  • To actively market and promote Adult & Community Learning through social media platforms and at all external events.
  • To support the Head of Business Development to develop the provision offered to, 19+ unemployed and NEET groups.
  • To liaise with all referral agencies so that they are aware of what the College is offering. This would include attending any relevant network meetings.
  • To facilitate IAG awareness sessions at the College/Community Hubs/JCP for all referrals.
  • To be involved with the learners through IAG, enrolment, and induction.
  • To be proactive in contacting all learners that did not attend and liaising with agencies in providing feedback on attendance.
  • To ensure minimum targets for referrals are met on training course(s)
  • Manage IAG booking system and support Administration Team with arranging appointments.
  • To liaise with the Head of Business Development to track and monitor referrals so the business can be both proactive and reactive to demand.
  • To prepare weekly updates/reports on referrals so that they can be fed in to the system to assist with decision making on future activity with specified groups.
  • Ensure CRM system is kept fully up to date.
  • To support the team in attending any networking events to promote all Adult & Community Learning Training Provision.
  • To actively show a commitment to the Departmental Strategic Objectives.
  • To show an active commitment to the College's Equality and Diversity Policy, Quality Frameworks and Health & Safety Procedures.
  • To actively participate in Continuous Professional Development including the introduction of new technologies to allow you to contribute effectively of new technologies to allow you to contribute effectively to the success of the College.
  • To carry out such other appropriate duties commensurate with your skills, knowledge and experience.
  • They may, in consultation with you, need to vary these duties from time to time in order to respond to the changing requirements of the business.

Experience

  • Liaison with internal and external clients/organisations - Desirable.
  • Experience in a sales/marketing environment - Desirable.
  • Outgoing with a friendly approach to meeting new people - Desirable.

Qualifications

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
  • To hold a relevant IAG or equivalent qualification - Desirable

Knowledge and Skills

  • A high degree of IT literacy with a good understanding of social media.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritise at all times and work under pressure.
  • Good team worker with an ability to work independently.
  • To commit to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
  • Commitment to quality of work with an excellent attention to detail.
  • To succeed in this role, you must be outgoing with a friendly approach when meeting new people.
  • You will need to be flexible in your approach to tasks.
  • Bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • To commit to the Safeguarding Policy and promote a safe environment for children, young people and vulnerable adults
  • To liaise with Head of Business Development to identify appropriate training.
