Reed HR are currently looking for a dedicated Training Manager to join our client’s team on a maternity cover contract (12 months)
This role is based in Dorking, Surrey and offers a salary range of £60,000 to £70,000, commensurate with experience.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the training programs and development of staff within the organisation.
This is an office based role.
Hours: 9 - 5.30 Monday to Friday.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assess training needs through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers.
- Organise and develop training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
- Develop and maintain training programs that are aligned with the organisation’s objectives and strategy.
- Train instructors and supervisors in techniques and skills for training and dealing with employees.
- Create and implement a training budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructors.
- Coordinate all training logistics, including venue, equipment, and materials.
- Keep abreast of training trends, developments, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Training Manager or similar role.
- Strong track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc.).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
- Strong writing and record-keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
- Good computer and database skills.
- A degree in education, human resources, or a relevant field is preferred.
