We have a dedicated team of people working across our various North London sites, making a positive difference to the environment and the local community. By processing household waste at our facility, we produce enough waste from energy to power 80,000 homes every year and recycle 70% of items through our Reuse and Recycling Centres.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Transition Manager to lead projects that move LondonEnergy operational & maintenance teams into new or different facilities & locations. You will have accountability for designing and delivering the transition roadmap for each relevant project, and working with impacted departments to ensure we deliver against that roadmap safely and on time. You will additionally take responsibility for a number of smaller projects as required within the wider LondonEnergy Transition Portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading transition projects from design to delivery across LondonEnergy, generally in the area of Waste Operations. This would usually be focused on operational readiness for moving to and running new or improved facilities, including Waste Transfer Stations and Reuse & Recycling Centres.
• Designing, in collaboration with key stakeholders (such as construction projects, operational units and enabling functions), an approach to transition for each relevant project.
• Creating clear roles & responsibilities across the organisation, supporting those accountable to achieve delivery. Ensure there is clear accountability (capacity & capability) for technical aspects of each project. As well as cost and quality.
• Collaborating with the North London Waste Authority (NWLA) to ensure there is a single aligned transition journey for LondonEnergy and our key stakeholders & customers.
• The wider Transition Team have a number of ‘minor works' projects; you will be required to lead on these from time to time, projects such as minor civil works, or procurement of new assets.
• Acting as a lead point of contact for coordination of transition/construction activity impacting on operations (and vice versa) on the London Edmonton EcoPark.
• Acting as a leader within the organisation for the wider transition portfolio, to deliver the desired Target Operating Model. Connecting and communicating components of the portfolio as required, and being a positive advocate for change across the organisation.

Requirements

• Experience in project or programme management, ideally in a senior or leadership position.
• A proven track record of delivery in a change or project environment.
• Experience in transition projects desirable, supporting operational teams to adopt new facilities or assets.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and experience in making decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience in building relationships across organisation boundaries.
• Experience in Waste Management is not essential, but would be useful.
• Knowledge of Microsoft D365 would be a plus.
