Your new companyHays are working with a large manufacturing business based in Telford who are looking for Transport Administrator on a permanent basis. This is an exciting, fast-paced role working in a very friendly company with an opportunity for growth.Your new roleReporting into the Operations Manager your role will involve:
- Manage and organize office files, documents, and records.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties in the office.
- Operating the weighbridge, ensuring that all vehicles have been accurately weighed and that these weights reconcile to stock control records.
- Planning workload for next day deliveries.
- Responsible for all administrative duties relating to the transport operation.
- Arranging vehicle inspections, MOT's and tachograph calibrations and checking all relevant paperwork.
- Liaising with 3rd party maintenance providers.
- Ensuring that the operation remains legally compliant.
- Manage vehicle booking sheets.
- Keeping all required records up to date and accurate regarding individual vehicles and types of materials entering and leaving the site.
- Entering all incoming and outgoing materials onto the company database immediately.
- Accurate and full reconciliation between weighbridge records, and stock control and loading/unloading records.
- Work closely with accounts regarding invoices.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proficient in using Excel and Word
- Excellent written & communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures
- Familiarity with computerised systems for data entry and record keeping.
- Proficiency in using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
