Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and organized Transport Coordinator to join a well-established team in Little Hulton, Manchester. This is a temporary, ongoing position offering an excellent opportunity to support the logistics and transportation operations of a busy organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for deliveries, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
• Liaise with drivers, ensuring they have the necessary instructions, paperwork, and resources.
• Monitor traffic and weather conditions to proactively adjust schedules when necessary.
• Track deliveries and resolve any issues or delays promptly.
• Communicate with internal teams (e.g., warehouse, customer service) to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of transport schedules, deliveries, and any associated costs.
• Support the procurement of transportation services and manage vehicle maintenance schedules.
• Handle customer queries related to deliveries and provide exceptional service.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a transport or logistics coordinator role is desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with transport management software or similar systems.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
• A good understanding of transport and logistics industry standards.
