Poundland is seeking a Transport Fleet Manager to lead our fleet operations at our Harlow Distribution Centre. In this role, you'll ensure our fleet is fully compliant with all legislative requirements while driving cost efficiencies and operational effectiveness. Your key responsibilities will include: Licence Management: Ensure all aspects of our Operator’s Licence are upheld, including legal compliance, routine maintenance, and defect reporting.Fleet Compliance: Maintain accurate service planners and records, ensuring all vehicles meet legislative and safety standards.Fuel Management: Oversee fuel processes, including monitoring fuel efficiency by vehicle and driver, and investigating any discrepancies.Operational Efficiency: Maximise fleet availability by minimising Vehicle Off Road (VOR) times and manage vehicle trials and hire processes.Team Leadership: Set clear tasks and development goals for the Fleet Administrator, ensuring regular reviews and personal development plans are in place.Supplier and Safety Management: Conduct supplier performance reviews, attend accident meetings, and follow up on actions to ensure safety and compliance are maintained.Driver Management: Manage the Tachograph infringement process and work with team managers and driver trainers to improve driver performance and behaviour.Skills and Knowledge… To be successful in this role, you will need:Fleet Administration Experience: A solid background in fleet administration is essential, with a strong understanding of transport operations.Compliance Expertise: Knowledge of O Licence requirements and health & safety regulations.Technical Proficiency: Strong spreadsheet skills with the ability to analyse data and produce accurate management reports.Leadership Ability: Proven experience in leading teams, setting goals, and driving personal and professional development.Transport Knowledge: International CPC is desirable but not essential.If you’re ready to make a difference and contribute to a company that values your skills, apply today to join the Poundland team at our Harlow  Distribution Centre!  About us...
