Transport Line Manager - Bis Henderson : Job Details

Location: Belfast Salary: £35,000 - £40,000Summary:At Bis Henderson, we are looking for a Transport Line Manager to join an established 3PL business. The Transport Line Manager will organise and manage specific elements of the transport function to ensure depot targets are being achieved in line with SLAs. They will also focus on continuous improvement initiatives and find ways to improve engagement. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a busy transport operation, ideally holding a CPC qualification. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management of the transport operation to maintain required service levels in line with budgets and operational KPIs
• Manage drivers and operations to create high performing teams, continuous improvement and a high performing culture.
• Manage and conduct work activities in such a way as to promote, proactively engage and ensure the safety, health, and welfare at work of the team.
• Monitor and assess KPIs, managing driver dispatch and debriefs
• Maintain a working environment in line with Road Transport, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Quality legislation

Experience:

• Prior experience in a similar role managing a fast-paced transport department in a high-volume business
• Experience in a logistics business which has multiple weekly deliveries
• Excellent knowledge of relevant road transport legislation and health and safety practices
• Excellent communication and people management skills
• Good level of computer literacy skills, with a knowledge of TMS systems, and able to interpret and analyse data.
