Are you a Transport Manager looking for a new challenge?

Our client, a food wholesaler and distributer based in London has a great opportunity for a national transport manager to be responsible for the entire distribution operation and delivery of goods for the whole organisation.

Role Responsibilities:

• Route Planning and Delivery
• Ensures all deliveries have been completed
• Manage and update the Operators Licenses.
• Daily vehicle checks
• Manage drivers
• Manage budget for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Track fuel expenditure.
• Goods return
• Communication between the warehouse teams, distribution teams and wider business
• Implement and maintain health and safety procedures.
• Provide training where required, (hygiene, BRC standards products, customers…)

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years management experience withing the transport, distribution and logistics industry
• Experience using route planning software
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of transport legislation
• IT Literate
• Hold a full UK driving license.

In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience and includes further benefits including a bonus.
