Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for Permanent Traffic Operators, working for a client located in Hartlepool. Reporting to the Regional Manager. The successful candidate will deliver a range of duties in support of the regional transport function.
Traffic Operator Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the regional transport facilities.
- Implementation of Health, Safety & Environment policies.
- Scheduling all regional fleet maintenance.
- Ensuring all depot facility maintenance is completed as instructed.
- Managing all daily driver activities.
- Driver briefing and de-briefing.
- Administration and implementation of vehicle defect rectification in line with legal requirements.
- Providing out of hours back up support as part of a roster.
- Overseeing driver compliance.
- Providing Traffic Office support including planning and administration functions.
- Acting as a conduit between regional drivers and central functions.
- Transport office call handling, including vehicle breakdown recovery and all driver related enquiries.
- Ensure full compliance with GDPR requirements, ensuring that the data of all learners and employers is protected in accordance with the regulations.
- Any other duties as may be requested by your line manager.
Traffic Operator Applicants:
Essential:
- Have an ability and experience to collaborate with wider stakeholder groups inside and outside of The Company.
- Strong planning skills and project management expertise.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining compliance.
- Strong I.T. skills.
- An ability to motivate and engage the team in understanding best practice and compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
- An ability to develop and maintain a harmonious team working environment, reducing points of conflict, and resolving any issues at the earliest stage possible.
- An ability to make the best use of the resources available to address the agreed priorities.
- A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all relevant regulatory, law and compliance legislation.
- An ability to analyse data to provide effective management reporting to enable fully informed decision making for the Regional Manager.
Desirable:
- CPC in Transport Management.
- Level 3 supervisory Management (ILM or CMI).
- Previous experience of working within a liquid fuel distribution/transport operation.
