Transport Planner required! My client is a family run general haulage business, priding themselves on the service they provide to customers and placing an enormous amount of emphasis on working as a team, drivers, and office staff alike. They are now looking for someone to join the transport team, assisting with the planning and routing of the vehicles.

Transport Planner - Job Responsibilities

• Planning routes for the fleet of 30+
• Keeping in communication with the drivers and dealing with any issues that may arise e.g. route issues.
• General administrative duties.
• Ensuring all vehicles and drivers are legally complaint.
• Oversee maintenance of vehicles, ensuring all services and inspections are completed.
• Optimising routes and monitoring transport costs.

Transport Planner - Requirements

• Proven experience in transport planning or coordinating.
• IT and geographical knowledge.
• Tachograph knowledge is desirable.
• Having the willingness to learn, problem solve, and work as part of a team.

Transport Planner- Remuneration

• Monday-Friday, varied shifts as the office is open early and until late.
• One week early, one week late
• Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
