Transport Planner - Meridian Business Support : Job Details

Job Title: Transport PlannerLocation: BoltonSalary: £32,000 per annumShift Pattern: 4 on 4 offAre you an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics? We're looking for a Transport Planner to join our client’s vibrant and dynamic team based in Bolton.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate transport schedules to ensure the timely delivery of goods
• Optimise routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency
• Work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Manage drivers with their loads and start times etc
• Monitor and address any delivery issues or disruptions
• Maintain accurate records and reports on transport activities
• Comply with all transport legislation, reducing tacho-graph infringement to be below the company targets

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics (preferred)
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• Proficient in using transport management software
• Flexible and able to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern
