Simple Recruitment are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our client’s friendly team on a permanent basis in the Shepton Mallet area.

The Job:Operating in the FMCG sector, our client offers both cross dock and storage & picking services for a variety of temperature-controlled environments.Their mission is to provide a first-class service that ensures on time and safe delivery, as well as responding to customer’s needs in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Logical thinker who can work methodically under pressure, with good communication skills and strong geographical knowledge.
• The role will involve efficient and cost-effective route planning through our TMS, as well as liaising with customers, drivers, and other departments within the business.
• It is essential that the successful applicant can work both lone and as a team member, contributing, sharing, and building ideas together to achieve the smooth running of the transport operations.

Hours:Various shifts between 05:00 - 21:00 Monday to Friday.Weekend, Bank Holiday and on call cover on rota basis.

Salary:£28,000 - £32,000 per annum
