Our client, a global professional services firm, is seeking an experienced trust accountant to join a specialist team managing a portfolio of UK family trusts and grant-making charities while driving business development in this space.
Key ResponsibilitiesTrust Accounting & Tax Compliance: Prepare and review trust accounts, tax returns, and annual returns, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.
Financial & Trustee Reporting: Lead trustee meetings, present financial statements, and address technical queries from trustees and advisors.
Tax Planning & Advisory: Oversee the implementation of tax advice, including claims, elections, inheritance tax returns, and related compliance matters.
Regulatory & Charitable Compliance: Manage trust and charity administration services, ensuring adherence to legal and financial reporting requirements.
Client & Practice Management: Drive client profitability, monitor WIP and debt collection, and contribute to revenue targets.
Business Development: Identify cross-selling opportunities and support the expansion of trust and estate services within the firm.
Technical Expertise & Mentorship: Stay updated on UK tax developments, act as a technical resource for trust-related matters, and mentor junior colleagues.
Strong technical expertise in UK trust accounting, taxation, and compliance.
Proven experience managing a portfolio of trusts, including financial reporting and tax matters.
Knowledge of charitable trust structures and associated tax and accounting requirements.
CTA or ACA qualification (or equivalent experience) within a private wealth, tax, or trust accounting environment.
STEP membership is advantageous.
Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
Salary : 75000 - 95000
