Our approach is holistic and empowering, partnering with survivors to help them achieve independent, abuse-free lives.We are now looking for a Trustee to join us on a part-time basis for a two- or three-year term, with the possibility of extension.This is a unique opportunity for a committed and experienced strategic-level individual with financial management experience and a string grasp of UK charity governance to join our dedicated Board of Trustees and help guide us in achieving our mission to end gender-based violence.You will have the chance to contribute to our strategic direction whilst making a significant impact on the lives of women and children.By joining us, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective governance and financial stability of Solace Women’s Aid, while also supporting the CEO and senior management team.So, if you want to make a meaningful difference as a Trustee, read on and apply today!The RoleAs a Trustee, you will support and provide advice on our purpose, vision, goals, and activities, ensuring we continue to operate effectively and achieve our mission.You will oversee financial plans and budgets, monitor key risks, and ensure we are administered efficiently.About YouTo be considered as a Trustee, you will need:- Strong experience of developing, deploying, and evaluating strategic plans- Significant experience of managing, motivating, and developing people- Experience of financial management- An understanding of UK charity governance- An understanding of work in the Violence Against Women and Girls sectorTime CommitmentBoard meetings are held four times a year in person at our London office. Additionally, all trustees are expected to join a subcommittee, which meets online.
