We are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Tutor to support students with a range of special educational needs in an inclusive, thriving learning environment. This role offers the opportunity to provide tailored support for students preparing for Functional Skills and GCSE exams.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering individualized tutoring sessions based on the specific learning needs of each student
- Supporting students' academic and personal growth in a nurturing, inclusive setting
- Tracking student progress and working closely with the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for every learner
- Adapting teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of your students
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students to boost their confidence and help them succeed
About You:
- Proven experience as an SEN Tutor, particularly in delivering Functional Skills and GCSE support
- Knowledge and understanding of various SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia, with the ability to tailor strategies accordingly
- A patient, empathetic approach with a genuine passion for student success
- Skilled in adapting lessons to suit diverse learning styles and needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- Ideally, you are local to Kempston or the surrounding areas and can easily commute
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with SEN students, specifically in Functional Skills and GCSE tutoring
- A strong understanding of the different learning needs and strategies for support
