** UK Financial Controller (ACA)**

Grafton Banks Finance is working with a listed business, based in Worthing, to recruit a Financial Controller for its UK Business.

This newly created role will lead the UK finance team, responsible for the end-to-end completion of UK management accounts and statutory accounts.

We are looking for a technically strong accountant (ACA and practice trained) who is skilled in financial reporting, statutory accounts, month end accounting and comfortable managing small teams. The role is hands on and will require someone comfortable working in the detail when required.The role will work with stakeholders across the business so strong communication skills are essential.

This role is hybrid working with 2 days per week in the Worthing offices. Salary is max £80,000 + benefits including 25 days holiday, private healthcare, and generous pension.

Key responsibilities:

• Line management of the transactional finance and cost accounting teams
• Preparation and submission of the UK management and statutory accounts packs.
• Finance management of Capex, reconciliations and postings.
• Completion, reconciliation and submission of all intercompany balances.
• Work with budget holders to analyse and understand performance vs. budget and report key drivers of performance and spend to the Senior UK and Group Finance Team.
• Assist with the smooth running of projects from a financial aspect.
• Complete or coordinate completion of and submission of all required returns to external parties such as ONS, Intrastat, VAT, P11D.
