Position: Underwriter - Marine & Energy Liability About the Role: I am looking for an Underwriter to join a team focusing on Marine and Energy liability. The book has grown significantly and is outperforming the market but there is room for a talented Underwriter (or Broker) to join the team. There is real interest in hiring someone with a good grounding in P&I if they have an interest in the Lloyd's market. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and grow the Marine and Energy lines, working closely with brokers.
• Collaborate with the Product Head, who handles all marine-related underwriting and reinsurance purchasing.
• Work with the Energy underwriter.
• Utilise data and analytics, including AI, to enhance underwriting processes.
• Contribute to building a book to £100m+ leveraging marine expertise and an innovative approach.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in underwriting, with a preference for candidates with senior-level experience.
• Strong client management skills, with the ability to work effectively with brokers and senior stakeholders.
• Possible experience in handling ports and terminals, offshore drilling units, and other related areas.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and adaptability to meet client needs.
• Competence in data analysis and the use of analytics to drive decision-making.
