This role involves managing the underwriting team who are responsible for underwriting property valuations and new applications to offer stage. As part of this role, you will be expected to ensure that all processes, policies and criteria are adhered to and that all 3rd parties receive an exceptional level of customer service at all times.
Production of MI reporting and on-going mentoring/development of the team also form part of this role. We are looking for someone to join and embrace our dynamic working environment and lead by example.
Team Leader Main duties:
To lead a team of underwriters and underwriting support colleagues.
Ensure that service levels are achieved on a consistent basis.
Ensure that clearly defined processes and controls are documented and followed for all of the teams' activities.
Continuous process improvement, searching for ways to increase the efficiency and quality of all processes and procedures.
Support the personal performance and career development of all staff.
Meet and exceed all team targets whilst supporting the wider targets for the business.
To liaise with solicitors, valuers, brokers and customers to secure documentation required to make responsible lending decisions.
To keep fully up to date and conversant with lending criteria, products and special schemes.
To develop and maintain business relationships with key partners.
To underwrite new business in line with more2life policies.
Skills and experience we look for in a Team Leader:
Experience of managing or leading a team within a call centre or office environment

We seek experience of working in a fast-paced working environment where accuracy is essential. Previous experience of mortgage processing or a similar environment is highly advantageous.
