A highly regarded secondary SEN school in Kingston is seeking an Unqualified SEN Teacher to join their team from January (or sooner). This role is perfect for a recent graduate with a passion for working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), looking to gain valuable experience before committing to formal teacher training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and teach students with a range of SEN needs in an inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide targeted interventions for small groups of students (6-8) to support their learning and development.
- Work with students of varying abilities, including those with SEN, EAL, and Gifted & Talented.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and the teaching team to ensure effective support for students.
- Create a positive, nurturing environment to help all students thrive.
About You:
- A graduate with a strong academic background, ideally in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Passionate about supporting students with SEN and helping them succeed.
- Empathetic, patient, and capable of building strong relationships with students.
- Strong communication skills and able to work well as part of a team.
- Committed to working full-time until the end of the academic year (July 2025).
- Keen to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills before pursuing formal teacher training.
