£25,000 + (Salary increases after successful completion of probation)

My client is a leading furniture and upholstery manufacturing company based in East London, who currently require an experienced Furniture Upholsterer to join their expanding business. They manufacture custom-made high-end furniture and traditional sofas. Currently experiencing and exciting period of growth, their workload and client base has increased dramatically over the last few months, and as a result need to employ more Upholsterer 's and Furniture Maker 's to service these orders.

Upholsterer benefits include:

• Sociable working hours of 08:00-17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00- 13:00 on Fridays

• Eligible to join the company’s profit-sharing scheme after one year’s service
• 22 days holiday per year + statutory bank holidays (Rising by one day after 3 years of service).

Upholsterer experience required:

• Must have at least 12 months experience of working as an Upholsterer.
• Able to Upholster to high standards using a variety of techniques
• Must have experience of upholstering modern and traditional sofas and working with both fabrics and leather.
• Must have high attention to detail and be able to Quality control each project throughout the manufacturing process
• Capable of working in a team as well as working without supervision to a high standard
• The role is physical and requires a good level of fitness. It involves working on your feet and lifting loads.
