Upstream Energy Insurance Broker - MW Appointments : Job Details

An opportunity to join a global leader in the Energy broking arena.

The Upstream Energy Broker will be joining a specialist upstream insurance team that offers a comprehensive range of coverages including physical loss or damage, business interruption, control of well, machinery breakdown, and decommissioning risks.

This role will incorporate market negotiations and client relationship management.

Overview

• Work closely with clients to understand needs and review risk information.
• Create bespoke risk solutions that meet client requirements
• Identify appropriate markets and devise a placement strategy
• Prepare slips and underwriter presentations
• Lead market negotiations and resolve any subjectivities
• Ensure that clients are kept updated throughout the placement process

What is required

• Experience and understanding of international upstream energy risks
• Familiarity with placing risks into the Lloyds / London market
• Ability to devise complex risk programmes
• Ability to create market broking documentation
• Strong client relationship skills
